Players should be available for training in skills and fitness twice per
week. Selection for Senior club teams must be based on the set criteria. Reputation
or previous team selection cannot be the criteria for current game time. Coaches
should be mindful of individual weekly circumstances. However, setting trends
of non-attendance at training cannot be acceptable in the club for at least
two reasons:
1. squad morale is undermined
2. playing at a higher ability and tempo is of course desirable
1. Fitness training can, if needed, be achieved at the same time and together

members of the same team.
Junior club coaches should oversee the training of their teams with skills and fitness once a week. Coaches should attempt to travel with and work their team on match days.
Players should be available for training in skills and fitness once a week. Selection for Junior club teams must be based on the set criteria. The same general individual circumstances as noted in the Senior Club selection criteria should apply, and for the same reasons.
1. Fitness could be achieved as a group of three teams.
2. Skills training should be conducted at the same time, although, within
squads where this can be achieved.
These are, and remain, the responsibility of the Club’s Committee under the auspices of the Club Chair.
Selection, contentious decisions by coaches and issues requiring scrutiny are in the first instance the remit of the Club Captain. Should this not produce a satisfactory resolution, then the matter may be taken before the Club’s Committee.
Coaches should liaise at the earliest opportunity if they need players based with lower teams to train or play up.
