Dungannon Ladies 3rd XI 0
Sat 18th October 2008

Greenisland 3rd XI played Dungannon on Saturday 18th October in unpredictable weather conditions. Greenisland immediately went on the attack keen to get a goal. However this came to nothing and the forward line were unlucky to miss some chances. The defence were strong in their tackles and the forwards and midfield worked well together putting pressure on Dungannon's defence right from the outset. With Carla Brown, Jordanne Phillips and Deborah-Anne McCoy making excellent runs up the pitch and sending fast balls into the circle unfortunately the first half ended goalless.

With half time over Greenisland came back on the pitch really wanting a goal and won penalty corner after penalty corner but couldn't find the back of the net. The midfield stuck the pace very well and ensured their players were marked closely. They aided the forwards in keeping the ball in the attacking half of the pitch and when needed were quickly back to help defend. Overall, everyone played a fantastic game, and worked very well together to produce a well-earned draw. Player of the match was Carla Brown.
