The match got off to a good start but Ballyclare got an early lead despite
good defending and some brilliant goal keeping. The team battled hard but
unfortunately Ballyclare put two more goals past the Greenisland defence before
half time.
After a team talk at half time from coach Tara Connor the Greenisland team
went out determined to defend and attack as much as possible. The heat was
getting to everyone but that didn't stop Greenisland's defence working hard
with Erin McGarry putting in some great saves. Although the second half didn't
bring any goals for Greenisland, it did see them keep the visitors at bay.
The final whilst went with the score at 3-0 to Ballyclare. Players of the
match were to Sophie Mills and Erin McGarry.
