Greenisland Ladies 5th XI 0
Priorians Ladies 3rd XI 5
Sat 6th February 2010
Playing the the first game of 2010, it was not surprising that the 5th XI
girls were a little rusty having not played since mid-December.
The travelling Londonderry team, were sharper from the off and within minutes
had pushed two goals past the Greenisland defence. Greenisland girls woke
up and got into the game and for the remainder of the 1st half, kept the Priorians
attack at bay.
With failing fitness in the midfield in the second half, Greenisland struggled
to keep the score down. But for the efforts of keeper and Player of the Match,
Melissa Johnston, the final score of 5-0 would have been a much higher and
embarrassing goal difference. Melissa pulled many great saves out of the bag
and the team congratulated her sterling efforts.
The team thanks the umpires, Alyson Douglas and David King.
Squad: M Johnston, B Webber, J Doherty, L Johnston, R Spencely, J Robb, T
