It was a cold winters night but that didn't put the 5ths off. The start of
the first half was looking like Greenisland might have had a chance of winning
this game, with good hits from Jeanna Robb into the circle.
Unfortunately Grosvenor fought back hard and took the lead at half time with
a score of 3-0. The girls got advice from Faye McCune and Alyson Douglas,
who was in goals and was keeping the team right the whole way through the
first half and did the same in the second half.
The team kept their heads up throughout the second half. With marking players
and making some good runs only allowing Grosvenor to score one more goal.
Finally the hard work paid off as everyone fought hard in the circle by getting
every rebound and a rewarding goal was scored by Celia Shilliday.
Player of the match was given to Jeanna Robb who really deserved it with her
amazing hits and runs entering the circle.
