Greenisland Ladies U15 XI 0
Larne Ladies U15 XI 3
Sun 26th September 2010
The U15s got their season off to a start on Sunday 26 September in a fixture
against Larne U15s. Missing a few players, the Greenisland squad struggled
initially to get the ball out of their own half and Larne snapped up two goals
before the half-time whistle. But for the sterling efforts of keeper, Megan
Bodell, the half-time tally would have been much worse for Greenisland.
Junior Club Co-ordinator and U15s coach, Faye McCune, talked to the girls
at half-time and, after some rearranging of positions, the girls played much
better in the second half. Greenisland were unlucky not to capitalise on a
goalmouth scramble and the game ended up 3-0 to Larne. The team thanked Emma
Douglas for umpiring.
Players of the match were Megan Bodell, Hannah McCleery and Emma Curtis.
