Goals from Norma Montgomery and Tara Connor made the scores level at the end of normal time. Nothing could separate these two teams during 15 minutes of golden goal extra time so the game went to knockout penalty flicks. It took up to the 11th penalty stroke to decide the match which was saved by player of the match Leah Crooks to determine the outcome and send the 2nds through to the Quarter Finals of the McConnell Shield!
