Lindsay Moore scored Greenisland's goal in a fast and furious encounter with Randalstown. Greenisland took the lead before Randalstown pulled a goal back to give each side a point. Player of the match was Gillian Kane

Dungannon 3rd XI 0 Greenisland 3rd XI 1

Fiona Nelson scored Greenisland's goal and shared the player of the match with Claire Courtney (pictured) in another solid win for the 3rd XI.

Greenisland 4th XI 4 Derg Valley 2nd XI 0

Lindsay Moore, Kirsty Jordan, Louise Hunter and were all on the scorecard as Greenisland romped to a 4-0 victory over Derg Valley in a physical contest.

Ballynahinch 2nd XI 0 Greenisland 5th XI 3

The 5ths nothced up another 3 points with a 3-0 win away to Ballynahinch. Norma Montgomery, Danielle Neill and Gemma McGookin got the goals. Alex Heyburn was player of the match.

Lindsay Moore scored a hat trick and keeper Emma Getty saved a penalty flick in a high scoring match in One 1918 Ulster Shield.

The 2nd's started their league campaign off with a solid point away to a strong Lurgan side. Erin McMaw scored Greenisland's goal. Player of the match was Rachel Johnston.

Greenisland 3rd XI 3 Ballymena 3rd XI 0

The 3rd's made an impressive start to their first season in Junior 5 following their promotion last season. Norma Montgomery (pictured) netted 2 and player of the match Lauren Kirker also grabbed a goal.

Greenisland 4th XI 0 Banbridge 3rd XI 1

The 4ths narrowly lost their opening match of the season 1-0 to Banbridge. Player of the match was Barbra Webber.

Dromore 6th XI 0 Greenisland 5th XI 4

Claire Courtney scored twice with Judith Sweeney and Jasmine Patterson also hitting the target in a comprehensive victory fot the 5ths. Player of the match was Katie Broadhurst.

Greenisland 1st XI 0 Pegasus 1st XI 5

In a repeat of last year's One 1918 Ulster Shield match Greenisland 1st XI took on the mighty Ulster champions Pegasus. Greenisland held their own for large periods of the game and played an attacking formation which meant they had to stay strong under the pressure from Pegasus. Despite their efforts Pegasus scored 5 however Greenisland should be proud of their performance and should take many positives from the match. Player of the match was Leah Crooks.

SATURDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER 2011

Queens 1st XI 2 Greenisland 1st XI 0

Greenisland faced Premier league side Queens in their first match of the One 1918 Ulster Shield. Despite some solid defensive play, Greenisland conceded two goals in the first half however produced a strong performance in the second period to prevent Queens scoring again. Player of the match was Claire Mayne

Greenisland 1st XI 0 Pegasus 1st XI 5

Despite a spirited performance Greenisland lost 5-0 to Premier League winners Pegasus in a thrilling midweek match. Greenisland frustrated Pegasus with their strong defending for large periods however were unable to prevent the skill of Pegasus winning though in the end.
